MV ABC cable

  1. Different structure
    1. Shielded wire:
It is a transmission line that uses a metal mesh braid to wrap the signal line. The braid is usually red copper or tinned copper. The shielding layer of the shielded cable is mainly made of non-magnetic materials such as copper and aluminum, and the thickness is very thin, which is much smaller than the skin depth of the metal material at the frequency of use. The effect of the shielding layer is mainly due to the grounding of the shielding layer. Different forms will directly affect the shielding effect.
    2. Unshielded wire:
8 wires of different colors are divided into 4 pairs and twisted together. The function of twisting in pairs is to minimize the influence of electromagnetic radiation and external electromagnetic interference. The unshielded twisted pair has no metal shielding material, and is only wrapped with a layer of insulating rubber.

2, the connection method is different
1. Shielded wire: The wire wrapped with a conductor outside the conductor is called a shielded wire, and the wrapped conductor is called a shielded layer, usually braided copper mesh or copper (aluminum), the shielded layer needs to be grounded, and external interference signals can be guided into the earth by this layer .
2. Unshielded wire: only one layer of insulating rubber wrap, direct physical connection, no need to consider grounding issues, flexible networking, easier to install.
3. The difference in data transmission quality
1. Shielded wire: Due to the existence of the shielding layer, when it is grounded, it can ensure that the transmitted data will not be leaked, and at the same time it will not be interfered by external electromagnetic interference, and the correctness of the data can be transmitted.
2. Unshielded cable: It is susceptible to strong electromagnetic radiation interference from the outside world, and the quality of data transmission is not as good as that of shielded cables.
